Toyota has officially launched the 2026 Glanza facelift in the Indian market, introducing a refreshed design, a new engine, and a suite of advanced features. The premium hatchback now boasts a starting price of ₹6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). This update follows closely on the heels of its sibling, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift, with which it shares its underlying platform. The Glanza facelift aims to bolster its competitive stance against rivals such as the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz.

Key revisions include a redesigned front fascia, featuring a larger grille reminiscent of Toyota's more premium offerings, and housing radar modules for advanced safety systems. The interior is expected to see upgrades like ventilated front seats, a cooled wireless charging pad, and an enhanced audio system. Mechanically, the most significant change is the introduction of a new 1.2-litre, three-cylinder Z-Series petrol engine, replacing the previous four-cylinder unit. This engine produces 83 bhp and 112 Nm of torque, and is offered with both 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT options. CNG variants are also anticipated to continue. Additionally, the updated Glanza is likely to incorporate Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) and a tyre pressure monitoring system, along with six airbags as standard and a 9-inch infotainment system.
