During the meeting, it was highlighted that 72 certificates have been issued for the manufacturing of electric motorcycles and rickshaws, along with four certificates granted to EV assemblers. Furthermore, 123 applications have been received for establishing EV charging stations. The government's ambitious plan aims to transition 30 percent of vehicles nationwide to electric power, which is projected to conserve fuel amounting to approximately $4.5 billion.
