Mahindra to Deploy 1,000 EV Charging Points at 250 Highway Stations by 2027

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced plans to significantly expand India's electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure by setting up 250 EV charging stations, each equipped with 180 kW capacity, by the end of 2027. This initiative will result in a total of 1,000 charging points strategically located along highways, aligning with the government's objective to accelerate EV adoption across the nation.

The Mumbai-based automaker has already inaugurated its first two 'Charge_IN' stations, located in Hoskote on the Bengaluru-Chennai highway (NH 75) and Murthal on NH44, approximately 50 km from Delhi. This expansion is part of Mahindra's broader commitment to bolstering the public EV charging network, which is vital for reducing range anxiety and encouraging more consumers to switch to electric vehicles for inter-city travel.
