Out of the ₹2000 crore designated under the PM E-DRIVE scheme for EV charging infrastructure, ₹688.84 crore has already been approved for the installation of 6,562 chargers. The initiatives are strategically designed to promote electric mobility by establishing charging facilities on a pan-India basis, including along major National Highways and in urban centers.
