TL;DR

Ducati has revealed its second-generation DesertX adventure motorcycle with a new 890cc V-twin engine and advanced electronics, set for an India launch in Q4 2026.

Ducati has officially unveiled the second generation of its DesertX adventure motorcycle, featuring a completely redesigned platform, an upgraded engine, and an expanded electronics package. The new model, which aims to enhance both off-road capability and everyday rideability, is built around a fresh 890cc V-twin engine and a monocoque frame.

The 890cc V-twin engine produces 110 hp and 92 Nm of torque, with 70 percent of its peak torque available from 3,000 rpm, promising improved responsiveness across various riding conditions. The motorcycle also boasts extended service intervals, with valve clearance checks scheduled every 45,000 km and oil changes every 15,000 km or two years. Key technological enhancements include a six-axis inertial platform supporting rider-assist systems like cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control, all adjustable across multiple levels. Six riding modes—Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet, Enduro, and Rally—allow riders to tailor performance for different scenarios, complemented by a new 5-inch TFT display and revised dashboard. The highly anticipated DesertX is slated for an Indian market launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
