The Activa 6G fuel pump typically lasts 40,000–60,000 km under normal city riding conditions. Symptoms of a failing pump on a scooter often mimic ignition problems — always rule out the fuel pump before replacing the ignition coil or ECM.
- Hard Cold Starting: Scooter requires multiple starter attempts before firing, especially in the morning or after the bike has been parked overnight.
- Sudden Stalling in Traffic: Engine cuts out unexpectedly at low speeds or while idling at signals — one of the most common Activa 6G complaints linked to pump failure.
- Rough Acceleration: Noticeable hesitation or stumble when rolling on the throttle from standstill or low speed.

Note the orientation of the fuel float arm before removal and align identically on reinstallation to ensure accurate fuel gauge readings.
