TL;DR
Mahindra has launched its Charge_IN ultra-fast EV charging network, committing to install over 1,000 charging points at 250 stations by 2027 to enhance electric mobility across India.
Mahindra has announced ambitious plans to establish 250 electric vehicle charging stations, each equipped with 180 kW, creating over 1,000 charging points across India by the end of 2027. This initiative, part of the company's 'Charge_IN' ultra-fast charging network, aims to bolster electric mobility and aligns with the government's focus on strengthening public EV charging infrastructure.
The first two Charge_IN stations have already been inaugurated in Hoskote on the Bengaluru–Chennai highway (NH 75) and Murthal on NH44, approximately 50 km from Delhi. Each station features dual-gun 180 kW chargers, capable of simultaneously charging four EVs. These stations are designed to charge Mahindra's eSUV portfolio, including the XEV 9e, BE 6, and the upcoming XEV 9S, from 20% to 80% in just 20 minutes. Mahindra's objective is to make long-distance electric travel as effortless and reliable as conventional driving, thereby boosting customer confidence in EVs.
