The Indian two-wheeler industry is experiencing a substantial export boom, recording a remarkable 24 percent year-on-year growth during the April-November 2025 period. This surge is primarily fueled by robust demand from international markets, particularly in Latin America and Africa, indicating a strong global appetite for Indian-manufactured motorcycles and scooters. A total of 4,243,330 units were exported during this period.
Motorcycles accounted for the lion's share of these exports, demonstrating a 27 percent increase and comprising 87 percent of total two-wheeler shipments. Scooter exports also saw healthy growth, rising by 8 percent. Leading the charge in this impressive export momentum are prominent Indian manufacturers such as Bajaj Auto Limited, TVS Motor Company, and Hero MotoCorp Limited. These companies have strategically expanded their presence in key markets, leveraging popular models and expanding dealership networks.
TVS Motor Company, for instance, secured the second position in market share, increasing its presence to 27 percent from 25 percent. Hero MotoCorp Limited reported a significant boost in export volumes, particularly with models like the Hunk 125R, Hunk 160R, and Eco Series in Latin America, and the Hunter Series in Africa. Hero MotoCorp has also been actively expanding into European markets with its Euro5+ compliant models, further diversifying India's two-wheeler export portfolio.
