Ultraviolette Automotive, an Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, is embarking on a significant expansion strategy with plans to invest ₹1,000 crore. A substantial portion of this investment, ₹800 crore, is earmarked for the establishment of a new manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu. This move is intended to bolster the company's production capabilities and support its ambition of developing a six-product portfolio, encompassing both electric motorcycles and scooters.

The upcoming facility in Tamil Nadu is initially projected to have an annual production capacity of approximately 2.5 lakh vehicles, with potential for further expansion to five lakh units. Combined with the ongoing expansion of its existing Bengaluru operations, Ultraviolette aims to achieve a total annual capacity of around three lakh units by mid-2027. This strategic investment underscores Ultraviolette's commitment to scaling its presence in the rapidly evolving Indian EV market.
