Toyota Gears Up for Hilux Next-Generation India Launch on July 28

TL;DR

Toyota Kirloskar Motor is set to launch the new-generation Hilux in India on July 28, featuring refreshed design, enhanced interiors, and a powerful diesel engine.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) is poised to unveil the pricing for the next-generation Hilux in India on July 28. This updated pickup truck is expected to feature a comprehensive refresh, encompassing its exterior design, interior enhancements, and an expanded set of features.

Under the hood, the 2026 Hilux is anticipated to retain its robust 2.8-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine. This powerplant will likely be paired with both a six-speed manual and a torque converter automatic transmission. While the current output stands at 201bhp and 420Nm, there's an expectation for a power bump to match the 201bhp/500Nm tune seen in the current Fortuner model.

The exterior will showcase a significantly reworked design, including a sharper fascia with a new, sleek black grille. Inside, reports suggest a Land Cruiser-inspired cabin, featuring updated design elements, a 48V mild-hybrid diesel engine option, and larger screens for the instrument cluster and infotainment system.
