The AxTrax 2 LF electric portal axles are designed to deliver a 20 percent efficiency gain over the previous generation, which translates to reduced battery requirements and extended driving ranges for city buses. These high-performance axles boast continuous power of up to 360 kW and a peak torque of 36,800 Nm, powered by dual PSM hairpin motors and an 800 V silicon carbide (SiC) inverter with advanced oil cooling. The first deliveries are slated to begin in 2026, signaling a growing interest in zero-emission commercial vehicle technologies within India's expanding urban transit networks.
