Volkswagen is launching the Tayron R-Line in India this February, a premium three-row SUV featuring a modern cabin, advanced features, and a potent turbo-petrol engine.
Volkswagen is set to re-enter India's premium three-row SUV segment with the anticipated launch of the Tayron R-Line this February. Positioned as the brand's flagship SUV above the Tiguan R-Line, the Tayron R-Line is essentially a longer, seven-seat iteration of the Tiguan, featuring a refreshed design and a more contemporary cabin.
The interior of the Tayron R-Line emphasizes a minimalist aesthetic, dominated by a large 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system complemented by a fully digital driver's display. Comfort and convenience features include ventilated, heated, and massaging front seats, three-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and a heads-up display. Safety is enhanced with an ADAS suite, and the second-row seats offer sliding and reclining functions for increased practicality, alongside the added third row. Under the hood, the Tayron R-Line will be powered by a reliable 2-liter turbo-petrol engine, paired with an AWD system and a 7-speed DCT. The vehicle is expected to compete with models like the Skoda Kodiaq and Toyota Fortuner.
