Analysis of November 2025 sales data reveals that while internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles continue to hold a significant market share across India's two, three, and four-wheeler segments, electric vehicles (EVs) are steadily gaining traction. In the two-wheeler market, ICE vehicles remain dominant, with Hero MotoCorp leading overall sales, though EVs constituted a modest 1.4% of their units. TVS Motor and Bajaj Auto showed stronger EV penetration within their two-wheeler sales, at 6.8% and 9.9% respectively. Pure EV manufacturers like Ather Energy, Ola Electric, and Ampere Vehicles naturally recorded 100% EV sales.

For three-wheelers, the EV shift is more pronounced, with Mahindra Last Mile Mobility achieving a remarkable 97% electric share in its passenger auto sales. Bajaj Auto also saw a substantial 21.2% EV share in this segment. In the four-wheeler category, Maruti Suzuki led overall sales but had negligible EV presence. In contrast, Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra demonstrated strong EV traction among high-volume OEMs, with EV shares of 11.6% and 5.5% respectively. MG Motor stood out with an impressive 83.96% EV mix, albeit on a smaller base. These figures highlight the evolving landscape of vehicle preference and the gradual, yet consistent, embrace of electric mobility in India.
