Major players in India's two-wheeler market, including Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, and TVS Motor Company, showcased robust sales figures in April 2026, signaling a strong start to the new financial year. Hero MotoCorp, the world's largest manufacturer, reported an impressive 566,086 dispatches, more than doubling its April 2025 figures. Their ICE segment saw an 83% increase, and the electric Vida wing grew by 129% year-on-year.
Bajaj Auto also had a stellar month, with total sales (2-wheelers and commercial vehicles) reaching 513,792 units, a 40% jump from the previous year, driven by a 78% surge in two-wheeler exports. TVS Motor Company recorded a 7% year-on-year growth in total sales, reaching 473,970 units, despite facing some supply chain disruptions. Their electric vehicle sales rose by 36% and three-wheeler sales by 37%. Royal Enfield also contributed to the positive momentum, posting 113,164 sales, a 31% growth, and notably launched its first electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea C6, during the month.
