TL;DR

Honda is launching its new ZR-V hybrid SUV in India as a premium CBU import, positioned as the flagship SUV with a 2.0-litre hybrid engine, advanced features, and ADAS, set to compete in the ₹40-50 lakh segment.

Honda is launching its new ZR-V hybrid SUV in India on May 22, 2026, marking a significant entry into the premium SUV segment. The ZR-V will arrive as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) import and is expected to be priced between ₹40 lakh and ₹50 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned as Honda's flagship SUV in the Indian market, it will compete with other premium five-seater SUVs like the Volkswagen Tiguan and Skoda Kodiaq. Globally, the 4.5-meter long ZR-V is placed between the HR-V and CR-V in Honda's portfolio. The Indian-spec model is anticipated to maintain similar dimensions. The interior is characterized by a prominent freestanding touchscreen infotainment system and will offer modern features such as a wireless charger, a head-up display, and an electric tailgate. Under the hood, the ZR-V is powered by a 2.0-litre petrol engine combined with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 181 bhp and 315 Nm of torque. This hybrid powertrain is expected to be a key differentiator in its segment. The SUV will also come equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) functions, emphasizing safety and convenience.
