Hero MotoCorp has filed a design patent in India for a rugged, adventure-styled scooter, which is widely believed to be the production version of the Xoom 125 Adventure concept previously showcased at EICMA 2024. This forthcoming model is anticipated to be retailed through Hero’s premium Premia dealership network and is expected to hit the market within the fiscal year 2027.
The design patent images reveal a scooter heavily inspired by Dakar Rally off-road motorcycles, featuring functional elements such as a crash guard for apron protection, a distinctive beak-like front fender, 14-inch alloy wheels fitted with knobby tires, and fog lights equipped with a cornering function. The scooter will retain the 124cc single-cylinder air-cooled petrol engine, promising a blend of adventure styling and practical performance.
