This mid-life update brings significant enhancements, including a larger 84 kWh battery pack that delivers an ARAI-certified range of up to 690 km, a notable improvement over its predecessor. The exterior receives modest design changes, while the interior boasts more substantial updates.
Key interior upgrades for the new Ioniq 5 feature an all-black theme, a redesigned three-spoke steering wheel, interactive pixel lighting, and a repositioned wireless charger. A highlight is Hyundai's new Connected Car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC), which integrates dual 12.3-inch screens in a widescreen layout. Connectivity is boosted with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, alongside in-car payment integration for EV charging. Safety features have also been augmented with the addition of rear parking collision-avoidance assist and side parking sensors.
