Tata Motors continues to lead the EV sales charts, reporting a 59% year-on-year jump in Q2 FY26. The company's Nexon EV, Punch EV, and Tiago EV have been key drivers, with zero-emission vehicles accounting for nearly 17% of Tata's total passenger vehicle volumes. The momentum has pushed EVs to comprise close to 5% of India's overall passenger vehicle market, up from 2.6% last year. Luxury brands like BMW and Mercedes-Benz also saw substantial growth in their electric lineups.
