❓ FAQ
Q: Does this fit the Passion Pro XTEC (2022)?
A: Yes. The Passion Pro XTEC has the same 110cc engine and fuel tank as the standard Passion Pro BS6 — same OEM pump (16700-AAC-801).
Q: Will this fit the old Passion Pro (carburettor)?
A: No. The pre-2020 Passion Pro used a carburettor — no fuel pump. This is for BS6 FI models only (2020 onward).
Q: Does this fit the Passion Pro i3S BS6?
A: Yes. The i3S idle stop-start system operates via the ECU and starter motor — separate from the fuel pump. The pump assembly is identical across all Passion Pro BS6 variants.
Q: Hero Passion Pro BS6 का फ्यूल पंप कहाँ से खरीदें?
A: eAuto.co.in पर Hero Passion Pro BS6, Passion Pro XTEC के लिए फ्यूल पंप असेंबली उपलब्ध है। OEM Ref: 16700-AAC-801. Free shipping और COD उपलब्ध। | Available at eAuto.co.in pan-India.
Q: Is this the same pump as the Glamour BS6?
A: No. Glamour BS6 uses OEM 16700-AAN-B02; Passion Pro BS6 uses OEM 16700-AAC-801. They are different parts — do not interchange.
⚠️ When to Replace
Watch for these warning signs on your Passion Pro BS6. As a high-mileage daily commuter, pump wear typically shows up gradually before complete failure.
-
Hard starting or repeated cranking — Engine turns but won't fire; most noticeable cold start on winter mornings.
-
No priming buzz on ignition — Turn key to ON; listen for a brief whirr from the tank. No sound = pump motor failure.
-
Stalling at idle or traffic lights — Pump dropping pressure at low rpm; very common symptom on high-mileage commuters.
-
FI warning light on instrument cluster — ECU fault code triggered by fuel delivery irregularity.
-
Power loss or hesitation on acceleration — Pump unable to sustain pressure under load.
-
Unexplained drop in mileage — Inconsistent fuel pressure affecting injection timing and atomisation.
Mechanic Tip: The Passion Pro is a high-frequency urban commuter — tanks are often run low, which forces the pump to work harder and accelerates strainer clogging. Always replace the complete assembly (motor + sender + strainer), not just the motor alone.
🔩 Installation Notes
Tank Access: The pump is mounted inside the fuel tank. Drain fully and remove the tank before starting. Refer to the Hero Passion Pro BS6 service manual for correct draining and removal procedure.
i3S Variant: The idle stop-start system operates independently of the fuel pump circuit. Pump is identical on i3S and standard variants — no special procedure required.
XTEC / XTEC 2.0: The digital instrument cluster, LED DRL, and Bluetooth on XTEC variants are separate from the fuel delivery system. Pump assembly and installation procedure are identical to standard Passion Pro BS6.
OBD2B (2023+): OBD Phase 2B is an engine management software update — the fuel tank and pump hardware are unchanged. This assembly fits all OBD2B Passion Pro variants identically.
