eAuto Fuel Pump Assembly for TVS Apache RTR 160 2V BS6 (2020–Present) | RTR 180 2V BS6 (2020–Present) | Air-Cooled / Oil-Cooled RT-Fi

The eAuto fuel pump assembly is built for TVS Apache's BS6-generation 2-valve lineup — the RTR 160 2V and the RTR 180 2V. Both models received fuel injection for the first time with the BS6 transition in 2020, moving from carburettor to TVS's Race-Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi) system. This eAuto assembly is a direct replacement for that in-tank FI pump, tested for correct pressure output and electrical function before dispatch from eAuto.co.in. Note: This assembly is for BS6 (2020–Present) models only. Earlier carburettor-equipped BS4 RTR 160 / RTR 180 bikes do not have a fuel pump.

eAuto Key Specs:  159.7cc / 177.4cc | RTR 160 2V BS6 + RTR 180 2V BS6 | 2020–Present | RT-Fi | Complete Assembly

⚠️ When to Replace

If your BS6 TVS Apache RTR 160 2V or RTR 180 2V is showing any of these symptoms, the fuel pump assembly may need replacement. The RT-Fi system relies on consistent pump pressure — even partial pump failure degrades performance before complete failure occurs.

  • No priming buzz on key turn — Turn the ignition and listen for the brief pump buzz under the tank. Silence means the pump motor is not activating — most common and definitive failure sign on Apache BS6 models.
  • GTT not functioning smoothly at low speed — Glide Through Technology requires stable fuel pressure to deliver controlled low-speed torque. A weakening pump disrupts this and makes city traffic riding jerky.
  • Engine cranks but doesn't start — Pump failure prevents fuel from reaching the injector. The engine turns over cleanly but never fires.
  • Stalling at idle in traffic — Strainer clogging at low fuel levels causes the engine to stall when stationary — most noticeable in stop-and-go city traffic.
  • Fuel gauge reading inaccurate or stuck — The float sensor inside the assembly degrades over time. An incorrect gauge can cause unexpected fuel starvation mid-ride.
eAuto Tip: The RTR 160 2V and RTR 180 2V received fuel injection for the first time in 2020. If you're riding a 2020+ model with 30,000+ km, the fuel pump strainer may be due for inspection. eAuto recommends replacing the entire assembly rather than just the strainer on high-mileage bikes — a worn pump motor will fail shortly after strainer replacement anyway.

🔩 Installation Notes

Important — BS6 Only: This eAuto assembly is for the BS6 (2020–Present) RTR 160 2V and RTR 180 2V only. These were the first Apache 2V models to use fuel injection. Earlier BS4 models used a carburettor and have no fuel pump in the system.

Tank Access: The fuel pump is located inside the fuel tank on both BS6 2V models. Tank removal is required. Refer to the TVS Apache service manual for the correct procedure.

RTR 160 vs RTR 180 Compatibility: Despite the different engine displacements (159.7cc vs 177.4cc), the RTR 160 2V and RTR 180 2V BS6 use the same fuel tank architecture and pump specifications, making a single eAuto assembly compatible with both models.

✔ eAuto Fitment Guarantee: This eAuto assembly is verified for the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V BS6 and RTR 180 2V BS6 (2020–Present). For earlier carburettor models, no fuel pump assembly is required. Contact eAuto support at eAuto.co.in if you are unsure about your model year.

❓ FAQ

Q: Does this fit both RTR 160 and RTR 180?

A: Yes. The Apache RTR 160 2V BS6 and RTR 180 2V BS6 share the same fuel tank and pump architecture. The eAuto assembly fits both models.

Q: My Apache RTR 160 is from 2019 — will this fit?

A: No. The 2019 RTR 160 2V is a BS4 model that uses a carburettor. It does not have a fuel pump. This eAuto assembly is for the BS6 (2020–Present) FI models only.

Q: Does this fit the RTR 160 4V?

A: No. The RTR 160 4V is a different model with a different fuel tank. eAuto makes a separate assembly for the RTR 160 4V.

Q: Will this fit the RTR 180 2V from 2022 or 2024?

A: Yes. The RTR 180 2V fuel system has been unchanged since the BS6 launch in 2020. The eAuto assembly fits all RTR 180 2V BS6 units regardless of year.

Q: फ्यूल पंप / ईंधन पंप असेंबली कहाँ मिलेगी? (Where to find fuel pump?)

A: eAuto.co.in पर TVS Apache RTR 160 2V / RTR 180 2V के लिए eAuto फ्यूल पंप असेंबली (ईंधन पंप) ऑनलाइन उपलब्ध है। Free shipping और COD उपलब्ध है।
