TL;DR
VinFast has extended its free EV charging program in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines until March 2029, alongside a 'Trade Gas for Electric' discount initiative.
Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has announced a significant extension of its complimentary charging initiative for customers in India, Indonesia, and the Philippines. The program, designed to accelerate electric vehicle adoption, will now remain in effect until March 31, 2029.
This extended policy ensures that all owners of VinFast electric vehicles in these three markets can charge their vehicles without cost at the charging infrastructure developed and operated by V-Green. The benefit is applicable to both new buyers and existing vehicle owners, including those operating vehicles for mobility services.
In addition to the free charging, VinFast's parent company, Vingroup, has introduced a limited-period 'Trade Gas for Electric' program. This initiative encourages customers to switch from petrol-powered vehicles to electric mobility by offering an additional 3 percent discount on VinFast electric cars and 5 percent off electric scooters for trade-ins made between March 11 and March 31, 2026.
