Ultraviolette Eyes Aggressive Growth with Increased Sales Target and Production Capacity

TL;DR

Ultraviolette Automotive aims to hit 1,000 monthly sales by end-2026 and plans to expand its electric two-wheeler production capacity to 1.5 lakh units annually to meet growing demand.

Ultraviolette Automotive, a prominent electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has outlined ambitious growth plans, aiming to achieve a monthly sales target of 1,000 units by the close of 2026. This significant increase from its current monthly sales of over 600 motorcycles underscores the company's confidence in the expanding electric mobility market in India and its strategic initiatives to capture a larger share. The brand is also reportedly gearing up for an upcoming Initial Public Offering (IPO) and the introduction of new products, signaling a period of rapid expansion.

To support its ambitious sales targets, Ultraviolette is concurrently working on substantially expanding its manufacturing capabilities. The company's current facility has an annual production capacity of 50,000 to 60,000 vehicles. However, plans are underway for a second phase of expansion, which will boost the production capacity for Ultraviolette electric bikes and scooters to an impressive 1.5 lakh units per year. This expansion is crucial for meeting anticipated future demand, particularly with the expected launch of new electric scooter models.
