The Indian electric two-wheeler market witnessed significant activity in 2025, with several prominent manufacturers launching new electric scooter models. This year saw a remarkable year-on-year growth, with approximately 100,000 e-scooters sold monthly. Key players like Hero MotoCorp, TVS, and Bajaj Auto introduced various models, catering to diverse consumer needs.

Among the notable launches, the Hero Vida VX2, introduced in July, emerged as an affordable mass-market option with a starting price of Rs 59,490 (ex-showroom). It also pioneered the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model and offers two variants with ranges of 92 km and 142 km. TVS expanded its electric portfolio with the Orbiter, an entry-level model launched in August at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).

Kinetic re-entered the e-scooter segment with the DX and DX Plus variants in July, priced at Rs 1.11 lakh and Rs 1.17 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), respectively. These models, inspired by the iconic KiHo DX100, feature a 2.6 kWh LFP battery offering 116 km range. Ola Electric unveiled the S1 Pro Sport in August, touted as India's first electric two-wheeler with ADAS technology, offering an impressive 320 km range from its 5.2 kWh battery. Bajaj also launched the Chetak 3001 in June, an affordable option at Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom), built on the Chetak 35 platform.
