Tata Motors will launch the production version of its Sierra EV on June 30, featuring advanced battery options, RWD/AWD, and a premium, tech-rich interior.
Tata Motors has confirmed that the production-ready version of its highly anticipated Sierra EV will be officially unveiled on June 30, 2026. This marks a significant step for the Indian automaker in expanding its electric vehicle portfolio. The Sierra EV, which was first showcased as a concept at Auto Expo 2020 and later in an updated form at Auto Expo 2023, is expected to be positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata's lineup.
The electric SUV has been frequently spotted undergoing tests, suggesting it is nearing its final production stage. Built on Tata's acti.ev+ platform, the Sierra EV is anticipated to share several components with the Harrier EV, including options for 65kWh and 75kWh battery packs. Tata has also indicated that both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations will be available, with the larger battery likely powering the AWD variants.
Visually, the Sierra EV is expected to feature an aerodynamic front end, specialized wheels, and distinctive EV badging. The interior promises a feature-rich cabin with up to three screens, including a digital instrument cluster, infotainment touchscreen, and a passenger display. Other potential features include a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a premium audio system, and multiple drive modes. The Sierra EV is expected to compete with models such as the Mahindra BE 6, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, and Maruti e Vitara, with an estimated price range of ₹18 lakh to ₹25 lakh.
