TL;DR
Tata Motors is planning to launch three new electric cars in India by the end of 2026, including the Sierra EV, a Tiago EV facelift, and the Avinya EV.
Tata Motors, a leader in India's electric vehicle market, is set to expand its EV portfolio with the introduction of at least three new all-electric cars by the end of 2026. This aggressive expansion strategy aims to solidify its dominance and cater to the growing demand for electric passenger vehicles across various segments. The company currently boasts a wide range of EVs, including the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, Punch EV, Nexon EV, Curvv EV, and Harrier EV.
Among the anticipated launches is the all-electric Tata Sierra EV, expected in Q1 FY27 (April-June 2026). This model, already spotted testing, will be positioned between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV and is likely to offer multiple battery pack options, including a 65 kWh variant promising over 500 km of range. It will also feature advanced Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) charging capabilities.
Additionally, a facelift for the Tata Tiago EV is expected in Q3 2026, coinciding with the Diwali festive season. This update is likely to bring redesigned headlights, tweaked bumpers, new alloy wheels, and potentially larger battery options to enhance its appeal as an affordable electric hatchback. The first Avinya EV, a sportback based on Tata's Gen 3 EV architecture, is also confirmed for a late 2026 launch.
