Renault Launches Duster E-Tech Strong Hybrid in Indian Market

TL;DR

Renault introduced the Duster E-Tech 160 strong hybrid in India on October 17, 2026, offering 160 hp and an estimated 29 kmpl mileage.

Renault officially launched the E-Tech 160 strong hybrid version of its Duster SUV in India on October 17, 2026. This new hybrid powertrain expands the Duster lineup, joining the existing 1.0-litre and 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engines. The strong hybrid system combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine with dual electric motors and a 1.4kWh battery pack, delivering a combined output of 160 hp and 172 Nm of torque.

The Duster E-Tech Hybrid is engineered to allow the SUV to operate predominantly in EV mode during city driving, with Renault claiming an impressive fuel efficiency of up to 29 kmpl. Bookings for the strong hybrid variant had reopened earlier in October with a token amount of Rs 21,000, signaling strong consumer interest. The launch positions the Duster Hybrid as a significant contender in India's growing hybrid SUV segment.
