TL;DR
Maruti Suzuki has launched the facelifted Baleno in India, featuring revised exterior design, potential interior upgrades, and retaining its current petrol and CNG powertrain options.
Maruti Suzuki has officially launched the facelifted version of its popular premium hatchback, the Baleno, in India. This mid-cycle update for the second-generation model, introduced in 2022, brings several design revisions and feature enhancements. The refreshed Baleno is expected to strengthen Maruti Suzuki's presence in the highly competitive premium hatchback segment.
Exterior changes include a redesigned front fascia with an updated grille and bumper, along with revised lighting elements and new alloy wheels. Spy shots hinted at a new grille with a horizontal bar connecting the headlights, possibly in chrome, and a redesigned front bumper. While the headlight design with boomerang-shaped LED DRLs is likely to remain, the fog lamps might be absent on the updated bumper.
Inside the cabin, the facelifted Baleno could receive a larger infotainment display, improved upholstery, ambient lighting, and additional convenience features. The powertrain options are expected to remain consistent with the current model, offering a 90hp, 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 5-speed manual or AMT options, and a 77.5hp CNG variant exclusively with a manual transmission. The updated Baleno is anticipated to carry a slight premium over the current model's pricing.
