Maruti Suzuki Gears Up for 2026 with Major EV and Flex-Fuel Vehicle Launches in India

TL;DR

Maruti Suzuki plans to launch four new vehicles in India in 2026, including its first mass-market EVs (e-Vitara and an electric MPV) and a flex-fuel Fronx, alongside a Brezza facelift.

Maruti Suzuki India is set to significantly expand its vehicle lineup in 2026, with plans to introduce approximately four new models, emphasizing green mobility. This strategic push includes the launch of new electric vehicles (EVs) and a flex-fuel vehicle, marking a substantial shift from its 2025 product strategy. The company’s first electric vehicle, the Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, which was unveiled earlier this year, has already commenced production and is anticipated to hit the market by January 2026.

Following the e-Vitara, Maruti Suzuki is also planning to introduce a second electric vehicle, codenamed 'YMC', an electric MPV based on the e-Vitara platform. This EV MPV is expected to be positioned as a premium offering, potentially above the Ertiga and XL6 models, and is slated for a late 2026 launch. Additionally, the automaker will address concerns regarding E20 ethanol-blended petrol by introducing a flex-fuel version of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx, compatible with ethanol-petrol blends up to E85, in the second half of 2026. A facelifted version of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza compact SUV is also on the cards for mid-2026, promising cosmetic and feature upgrades.
