Kia and Hyundai are set to aggressively expand their lineups in India with four new models slated for launch this year. Kia's biggest upcoming launch is the Sorento SUV, scheduled for September 4, 2026, which will be India's first hybrid SUV from the brand and also its first three-row ICE SUV, offering both hybrid (1.6-litre strong-hybrid with AWD) and diesel (2.2-litre) powertrain options.
Hyundai is also preparing a new crossover, internally codenamed BC4i, which will slot between the Venue and Creta, targeting buyers seeking more space. Additionally, Hyundai is working on a new sub-4-meter electric SUV, codenamed HE1i, designed specifically for India to rival models like the Tata Punch EV.
