HARMAN India Emerges as Global Hub for Connected Car Technologies

TL;DR

HARMAN's India operations are becoming a global hub for connected car technologies, including V2V and V2X, developing production-ready solutions for safer and smarter mobility.

Samsung Electronics-owned HARMAN Automotive's India operations are increasingly becoming a global hub for developing software-defined and connected vehicle technologies, including Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) and Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari recently emphasized the transformative potential of such technologies for safer roads and smarter traffic management in India, a vision actively being realized by HARMAN India.

Krishna Kumar, Managing Director and Automotive Head, HARMAN India, highlighted that their approach focuses on building production-ready solutions that significantly reduce time to market for OEMs. Collaborations, such as the partnership with HERE Technologies for direct and cloud-based V2X driver assistance systems, enable compliance with Euro NCAP 2026 and provide advanced road alerts, reinforcing safety outcomes for policymakers.
