Volvo Car India has officially launched its flagship electric vehicles, the EX90 SUV and the ES90 sedan, in the Indian market. The EX90, an all-electric luxury SUV, has been introduced at an introductory price of ₹1.26 crore (ex-showroom). Bookings for the EX90 are now open, with deliveries anticipated to commence in January 2027. The EX90 is notable for being Volvo's first software-defined vehicle in India and is built on the company's new SPA2 platform. It features a twin-motor setup, a 106 kWh lithium-ion battery, and delivers 456 hp and 670 Nm of torque. It boasts a claimed WLTP range of up to 625 km and an ICAT-rated range of up to 725 km.

Alongside the EX90, Volvo also unveiled the ES90, a luxury electric sedan, marking the brand's return to the luxury sedan segment in India after the discontinuation of the S90 in June 2025. Both the EX90 and ES90 feature an 800V electrical architecture supporting DC fast charging up to 350kW. The ES90 is expected to offer international battery options of 92kWh and 106kWh, with power outputs ranging from 333 hp to 680 hp, and a top-spec version claiming up to 696 km on the WLTP cycle. India-specific details for the ES90, including its price, are still awaited.
