TL;DR
BMW Group India recorded its best-ever H1 2026 sales, with 9,075 units sold, fueled by a remarkable 78% growth in its electric vehicle sales.
BMW Group India has reported its highest-ever sales performance for the first half of 2026, with 9,075 cars sold between January and June, marking a 17% year-on-year growth. A significant contributor to this success is the electric vehicle segment, which saw an impressive 78% increase in sales compared to the previous year, making every fourth BMW Group vehicle sold in India an EV.
SUVs accounted for over 60% of the total sales, demonstrating strong consumer preference for utility vehicles. The MINI brand, a subsidiary of BMW Group, also experienced robust growth, delivering 504 cars and registering a 70% year-on-year increase. BMW Group India plans to introduce several new models across its BMW, MINI, and BMW Motorrad divisions in the latter half of 2026 to sustain this positive momentum.
