Tata Safari Petrol Model Poised for December Launch in India

TL;DR

The Tata Safari is expected to launch its petrol variant in India this December, featuring the new 1.5-liter GDi turbo-petrol engine, offering manual and automatic transmission options.

Following in the footsteps of its two-row counterpart, the Tata Safari is also expected to introduce a petrol-powered variant in India this December. This strategic move aims to offer consumers more choices and cater to the growing demand for petrol SUVs.

The upcoming Safari petrol will likely be equipped with the same 1.5-litre GDi Hyperion turbo-petrol engine that is slated for the Harrier. This engine is projected to deliver 158 bhp and 255 Nm of torque, paired with options for a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox. The petrol version is anticipated to be a more accessible alternative to the existing diesel Safari.

The three-row SUV is expected to retain its popular 6- and 7-seater configurations, alongside premium features such as a panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, and Level-2 ADAS, ensuring a comprehensive and comfortable driving experience for families.
