Royal Enfield Files Design Patent for Electric Flying Flea S6 Scrambler in India

TL;DR

Royal Enfield has patented the design for its electric Flying Flea S6 scrambler in India, with an expected launch by late 2026, featuring all-terrain capability and modern tech.

Royal Enfield has officially filed the design patent for its upcoming electric motorcycle, the Flying Flea S6, in the Indian market. This scrambler-style electric bike, which made its public debut at Motoverse 2025 in Goa, is anticipated to launch by the end of 2026 and will be the brand's second electric model following the C6.

The Flying Flea S6 is designed for all-terrain riding and shares its 'L' platform with the C6. It features 19-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels fitted with dual-purpose tires, an enduro-style seat, and a distinctive finned magnesium battery case. The design pays homage to the original 1930s Flying Flea model with a round touchscreen instrument console offering connected features.

Developed at Royal Enfield's Flying Flea Tech Center across India and the UK, the S6 will incorporate modern features like USD front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, lean-angle sensing ABS, switchable dual-channel ABS, off-road mode, cruise control, integrated navigation, and traction control. It will also boast keyless ride, ride modes, OTA updates, and vehicle diagnostics, all managed by an in-house developed Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) and OS, supporting 4G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
