Motorcycle Theft Gang Busted in Kakinada, 29 Bikes Recovered

Police in Kakinada city have successfully apprehended a seven-member gang responsible for a series of motorcycle thefts, recovering 29 stolen bikes valued at approximately Rs. 14.50 lakhs. This significant bust was announced by Superintendent of Police Garikipati Bindu Madhav.

Among the arrested individuals, four were identified as receivers of the stolen property. The gang's modus operandi involved using duplicate keys to unlock parked motorcycles and then selling them at significantly reduced prices. The recovered motorcycles are linked to 20 different cases, predominantly within the Kakinada One Town police station limits.

SP Bindu Madhav commended the police teams involved for their prompt detection and action. The authorities have also advised the public, particularly those traveling for festivals, to enhance the security of their vehicles by using high-security locks and utilizing police-provided monitoring systems to prevent such thefts.
