Hyundai teased the interior of its next-gen i20, showcasing a dual 12.3-inch digital cockpit, new exterior lighting, and potential new engine, ahead of its likely FIFA World Cup debut.
Hyundai has provided a glimpse into the interior of its upcoming fourth-generation i20, revealing a sophisticated digital cockpit with dual screens, resembling those found in the Hyundai Venue. These twin digital displays, potentially measuring 12.3 inches each, are expected to serve as the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment system, offering a significant upgrade from the current model's 10.25-inch or 8-inch touchscreens.
The new i20's exterior has also been teased, featuring revamped lighting with illuminated bars connecting the front and rear LED lights. The global debut of the next-gen Hyundai i20 is anticipated to coincide with the start of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which kicked off on June 11.
Beyond the enhanced displays, the hatchback is expected to introduce a new steering wheel adorned with an 'H' in Morse code, a 360-degree camera, and fresh upholstery colors. While Hyundai is developing a new 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine that could potentially power the new i20, an official confirmation for its India launch is still awaited. The current i20 is priced between ₹6 lakh and ₹10.39 lakh, with the N-Line variant ranging from ₹9.27 lakh to ₹11.59 lakh (ex-showroom prices as of June 11, 2026).
