Honda has launched the 2026 facelift of its popular City sedan in India, marking the second significant update for the fifth-generation model since its 2020 debut. The refreshed City is expected to feature a sharper exterior design, including revised bumpers and character lines, along with potential upgrades to the cabin. While specific details on interior enhancements are yet to be fully revealed, expectations include new upholstery, refreshed styling elements, and more modern equipment such as Type-C USB ports, ventilated seats, and a fully digital driver's cluster. A larger, floating-style touchscreen infotainment system is also anticipated.
The updated model is also likely to see Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) extended to the regular petrol variants, a feature previously exclusive to the strong-hybrid City e:HEV. These ADAS functionalities will encompass features like collision warning, lane assistance, and adaptive cruise control. Powertrain options are expected to remain consistent, with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque, available with either a six-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission. With these updates, a moderate price hike is expected for both the petrol and hybrid versions of the Honda City. The starting price for the regular petrol model will remain around ₹12 lakh, with top-end trims potentially reaching ₹19 lakh. The hybrid variant could see its price increase to approximately ₹22 lakh (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
