Battery packs typically account for up to 40% of an EV's cost, making large-scale adoption difficult for fleet operators. Yuma Energy's Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model mitigates this by decoupling the battery from the vehicle, allowing fleets to pay only for consumed energy. This approach significantly reduces initial capital expenditure, converts costs into predictable operating expenses, and facilitates faster, more flexible scaling.
Yuma Energy currently operates over 2,000 battery-swapping stations across more than 400 locations in 17 cities, with plans for rapid expansion. This network enables riders to swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones in under two minutes, minimizing downtime and maximizing fleet productivity.
