Toyota India has officially launched its highly anticipated electric vehicle, the Urban Cruiser EV, in the Indian market on January 16, 2026. This new EV is expected to be a rebadged version of the Maruti e Vitara.
The Urban Cruiser EV is projected to be priced between ₹21 lakh and ₹26 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers can anticipate two main powertrain configurations, likely shared with the upcoming Maruti e Vitara: a 49kWh battery pack paired with a 144hp motor and a 61kWh battery pack with a 174hp motor. The vehicle is expected to offer a range of up to 543 km and will feature Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems).
