The company, which recently launched its Model Y in India, also introduced the Model YL, a three-row, six-seater SUV.
Tesla India General Manager Sharad Agarwal stated that the company currently operates five supercharging stations, strategically located near customer lifestyle hubs. In the coming months, Tesla plans to roll out more charging facilities in key cities such as Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Pune. While this expansion represents a significant investment, Tesla faces a price-sensitive Indian market dominated by local players, posing challenges to its profitability given high import tariffs.
