TL;DR

Norton unveiled full specifications for its Atlas adventure motorcycle range, featuring a 585cc parallel-twin engine, five riding modes, 6-axis IMU, and advanced rider aids ahead of its India debut.

Norton, the iconic British motorcycle manufacturer, has revealed the comprehensive technical specifications for its upcoming Atlas adventure motorcycle range, comprising the Atlas, Atlas Apex, Atlas GT, and Atlas GT Apex variants. All versions will be powered by a 585cc DOHC parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crankshaft, producing 69 bhp of power and 57.5 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.

The Atlas range boasts impressive features for an adventure motorcycle, including five riding modes (Urban, Rain, Sport, Tour, and Enduro) and a 6-axis IMU for advanced electronic rider aids. These aids encompass dual-channel ABS, traction control, wheelie control, rear lift and slide control, and drag torque control, along with cruise control. The higher-spec Apex variant further benefits from vehicle hold control and an upgraded Bosch 10.3ME IMU.

Additional modern conveniences include keyless ignition with an electronic fuel filler cap and seat lock, and a Type-C USB port. The Apex version also adds heated grips and a tire pressure monitoring system, emphasizing its premium positioning. The Atlas series features a modern design, with wire-spoke wheels, long-travel suspension, and an upswept exhaust, suggesting a strong touring focus. While India launch details are awaited, the revealed specifications indicate a highly capable and feature-packed adventure offering.
