Under the BaaS model, customers can purchase the electric SUV at a lower upfront cost, with battery financing involving an additional effective usage cost. For instance, prices under BaaS start at ₹12.65 lakh for the XEV 9S and ₹13.90 lakh for the XEV 9e (all ex-showroom), with a usage cost of ₹3.75 per km for the battery. This approach addresses a significant barrier to EV adoption by reducing the initial purchase price.
