India's automotive sector experienced its highest-ever November sales across all major segments – passenger vehicles, two-wheelers, and three-wheelers – driven by sustained festive demand and supportive government policies. According to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), passenger vehicle dispatches to dealers surged by 18.7% year-on-year, reaching 412,405 units.
The two-wheeler segment also recorded its best November performance, with total sales climbing 21.2% to 1.94 million units, largely propelled by strong scooter and motorcycle sales. Three-wheeler sales saw a 21.3% increase, reaching 71,999 units, indicating robust consumer sentiment and effective policy support, including the government's progressive GST 2.0 reforms. Industry leaders anticipate this positive growth trajectory to extend into 2026.
