Renault is gearing up to launch the new-generation Duster SUV in the Indian market in March 2026, with deliveries expected to commence from April. Initially, the Duster will be offered with petrol engine options, however, Renault has confirmed that a strong hybrid powertrain will be introduced by October 2026, before the Diwali festival.
The new Duster will be based on the brand's CMF-B modular platform (Renault Group Modular Platform - RGMP) and is expected to rival competitors like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. Engine options will include a 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 163PS and 280Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed DCT, and a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine. The strong hybrid version will feature a 1.8L GDI petrol engine with a dual-motor setup and a 1.4kWh battery pack, delivering a combined 160PS and 205Nm.
