Mercedes-Benz will launch a more affordable 'CLA 200 Standard Range' variant of its new CLA EV in India, with bookings open and an expected starting price of ₹55 lakh.
Mercedes-Benz has confirmed that its upcoming new-generation CLA EV will include a more accessible 'CLA 200 Standard Range' variant at its launch in India. This decision responds to customer feedback, as the electric sedan was initially announced only in the CLA 250+ Long Range version.
The CLA 200 Standard Range variant will be based on the 'Progressive Line' trim and is expected to offer a claimed range of 542 km. Bookings for the new-gen CLA EV have already commenced in India with an advance payment of ₹1.5 lakh.
While final prices will be announced closer to the mid-April 2026 launch, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 200 'Standard Range' is anticipated to start from approximately ₹55 lakh (ex-showroom), making luxury electric mobility more attainable for a broader segment of Indian buyers. The CLA 250+ 'Long Range' is expected to be priced around ₹59 lakh (ex-showroom).
