Formed through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between founding members Hero MotoCorp, Ather Energy, and IPEC India, LEAF brings together manufacturers, infrastructure operators, component suppliers, and technology providers. The forum plans to engage with government bodies and regulators to align EV charging infrastructure development with India's broader goals, including achieving net-zero emissions by 2070. This initiative arrives shortly after Delhi's EV Policy 2.0, which allocates funds for consumer subsidies and promotes infrastructure deployment for smaller EVs.
