KTM India has introduced new 350cc versions of its popular Duke and Adventure motorcycles, aiming to make these models more accessible to a wider audience. This strategic move leverages the lower Goods and Services Tax (GST) applicable to bikes under 350cc, effectively reducing the overall price for consumers. The new 350cc KTM 390 Duke is priced at ₹2.77 lakh, while the 350cc KTM 390 Adventure comes in at ₹2.80 lakh, making them significantly more affordable than their 399cc counterparts.
By shortening the stroke length, KTM has reduced the engine capacity while maintaining the bore size to preserve a balanced performance. The new 350cc Duke produces 40.9bhp and 33.5 Nm of torque, and the Adventure variant offers 40.43bhp and 33.5 Nm. While slightly lower than the 399cc versions, this difference may be negligible for daily use and could even lead to improved fuel efficiency. Both models retain their aggressive styling, key features like TFT displays with Bluetooth connectivity, and WP suspension, ensuring that the essence of the Duke and Adventure series remains intact despite the engine downsizing.
