Kia India has introduced a new HTE (EX) variant for its Carens Clavis ICE model, expanding the MPV's variant lineup across petrol, turbo-petrol, and diesel powertrains. Prices for the new trim begin at ₹12.54 lakh (ex-showroom).
The HTE (EX) variant is available in a seven-seat configuration and is positioned above the existing HTE (O) trim. It can be opted with the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, and 1.5-litre diesel engines. A significant update with this variant is the inclusion of an electric sunroof on the G1.5 petrol version, a feature previously unavailable with this powertrain.
Additional features introduced with the HTE (EX) variant include auto AC, LED DRLs and position lamps, LED cabin lighting, and an auto up/down function for the driver-side power window. Mechanically, the Carens Clavis remains unchanged, with the new variant focusing on enhancing the feature set to cater to varied buyer preferences in the MPV segment.
