The scheme, with a total outlay of ₹25,938 crore, has successfully approved 82 applicants, including major vehicle manufacturers like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Hyundai Motor India, Kia India, Suzuki Motor Gujarat, Ashok Leyland, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Ola Electric, and Piaggio. Component manufacturers such as Bosch, Bharat Forge, and Motherson Sumi are also among the beneficiaries. The incentives are designed to strengthen localization, reduce import dependence, and support the transition to cleaner mobility by requiring companies to achieve at least 50 percent Domestic Value Addition.
