TL;DR
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has recalled CB1000 Hornet SP motorcycles (manufactured between Sept 2024 - Aug 2025) due to potential fuel hose routing and engine oil consumption issues.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a voluntary recall campaign for its CB1000 Hornet SP motorcycles, specifically those manufactured between September 30, 2024, and August 22, 2025. The recall addresses two distinct technical concerns identified by the company to ensure optimal performance and safety for its riders.
The primary issue involves the routing of the fuel feed hose, which requires inspection to confirm it remains securely fastened under varying conditions. Additionally, the recall addresses concerns related to engine oil consumption levels, which may fluctuate due to specific characteristics of certain engine components. HMSI will conduct inspections and necessary corrective actions, including fuel feed hose re-routing and potential replacement of affected engine components, at no cost to the customer, irrespective of the motorcycle's warranty status, through its authorized BigWing Topline dealerships across India.
